Cellar Door Games Releases Rogue Legacy Through OnLive

Rogue Legacy

Cellar Door Games has released their unique roguelike Rogue Legacy through the cloud streaming service OnLive. This release is rather significant as it is one of the few near same date releases OnLive has had since their major restructuring. The service still has a lot to prove after the horrible financial difficulties that saw much of the company ousted. Rogue Legacy is certainly a great step in the right direction, and maybe we’ll see other high profile indies releasing on the service. The game is now playable for Macs, PCs, Android tablets, and select TVs through the service. For those interested a demo is available through the OnLive page linked below.

About Rogue Legacy:

Rogue Legacy is a genealogical rogue-”LITE” where anyone can be a hero. Each time you die, your child will succeed you. Every child is unique. One child might be colorblind, another might have tourettes– they could even be a dwarf.

That’s OK, because no one is perfect, and you don’t have to be perfect to win this game. But you do have to be pretty darn good because this game is HARD. Fortunately, every time you die all the gold you’ve collected can be used to upgrade you manor, giving your next child a step up in life and another chance at vanquishing evil.
