INSURGENCY Added to Steam’s Early Access Community with 25 Percent Discount

Insurgency

New World Interactive has released their fps INSURGENCY through Steam’s “Early Access” store for a nice 25% discount bringing the price to $14.99. Early Access allows developers to connect with their users throughout development all the way through alpha and beta into the full release. This is very similar to alpha funding a title through a site like Desura, but the direct communication allows gamers to impact the development of the title. INSURGENCY is joining 15 other titles currently available through the Early Access store including StarForge, Kenshi, and Gnomoria.

About INSURGENCY:

INSURGENCY is a tactical, team-based first-person shooter for up to 32-plus players designed for Windows®PC, Mac OS X (and later on Linux), using Valve’s Source Engine and distributed through the Steam platform. If the name INSURGENCY sounds familiar, that’s because it’s based on the popular total conversion for Half-Life 2 - Insurgency: Modern Infantry Combat - that saw more than a million free downloads and was awarded the ModDB “Player’s Choice Mod of the Year” in 2007.
