Fans of the PC version of Terraria may finally rejoice! You will not have to rely on the console version just to see new updates as Redigit (also known as @Demilogic) is coming back to work. If you’re unfamiliar with the console reference, allow me to shed some light. When the console version was announced, developers 505 Games stated that there would be new content, but were unable to comment on the PC version as they do not own the rights. Of course, this caused some tension, as those affected felt left out. Months later, as if manna from the heavens, @Demilogic posted this tweet:
Furthermore, he later posted a link to the Terraria Online forums in which he posed a hypothetical question:
Okay, let me pose a hypothetical. Say I am considering doing an update for the PC version of Terraria… In the event that such a thing were to take place, what would be some things that you would be interested in seeing?
The response, as I’m sure you could imagine, is completely overwhelming. With over 40 pages of replies and growing quickly, the forums are buzzing with ideas and suggestions. From bugfixes to new weapons, mobs, bosses, pets, tools, and more, the Terraria community is wasting no time showing that they want to help make the game even better than it already is.
As of now, Andrew is out of town, but we plan on trying to get an interview with him in regards to this update. On a more personal note, I am very excited about this news. I cannot wait to shake the webs off and enjoy any and all new content for Terraria.
