Grinding Gear Games has revealed that the Open Beta phase for their upcoming action RPG Path of Exile will begin January 23rd. In addition to reaching Open Beta, they will be adding Act 3 to the story. Act 3 allows players to access abandoned docks, markets, temples, and sewers in the ruined city of Sarn. The game is currently in closed beta phase but has already raised $1.8 million through their Kickstarter-esque purchase page. Those currently in the Closed Beta phase have until the Open Beta phase to purchase the kiwi bird pet that is exclusive to Closed Beta players.
