Serellan has announced that they will be partnering with 505 Games to release their upcoming game TAKEDOWN: Red Sabre. Serellan has assembled a team of veteran developers from popular titles including Halo, SOCOM, SWAT, F.E.A.R., and Ghost Recon. After a successful Kickstarter, TAKEDOWN has garnered much attention in the industry, and it appears as though they will work with 505 Games for PR and marketing services. This is an interesting partnership as you typically don’t see indie companies contract large publishers for certain services, but it could be a good move as 505 Games certainly has the industry ties needed to successfully market the game.
About TAKEDOWN: Red Sabre:
TAKEDOWN is a tactical shooter being developed by Christian Allen who was the creative director of the Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon franchise. It is the successor to games like the original Rainbow Six and SWAT series and is perfect for the player who chooses to engage in deliberate and methodical gameplay as opposed to gamers who want to run in with guns blazing. Now officially titled TAKEDOWN: RED SABRE, players will experience close-quarters battles as a member of the elite Red Sabre team. Every scenario is designed to emulate the tactics employed by SWAT teams and SOF units in taking down small numbers of dangerous adversaries. Non-linear environments allow for multiple routes, tactics and added replayability.
