Indie developer Reggie Strange has been developing his latest title under hushed whispers for several months, and we’re happy to report exactly what that new game is. With perhaps one of the longest (and most creative) indie game titles I’ve seen in a while, Zombie Strippers Stole My Heart Then Ate My Brains is scheduled for release on Thursday, December 13.
About Zombie Strippers Stole My Heart Then Ate My Brains
Jake gets his buddy Dean to help him work a security job at a stripper convention. Unfortunately for Dean, this happens to be ground zero for the zombie apocalypse. Play as former marine Dean as he and his buddy Jake attempt to gather supplies and find a way out before being eaten alive by zombie strippers. Features weapon unlocks, 1st and 3rd person views, multiple zombie types, and 20 levels to progress through.
Zombie Strippers Stole My Heart Then Ate My Brains is essentially a wave-based zombie shooter. In certain levels you’ll be running down hordes of gorgeous zombies, while in other levels your partner Jake will be attempting to break into a military crate to get more weapons. You’ll have to protect Jake while he works. Jake also brings the crates up from the basement to different sections of each level so you’ll have to think on your feet, so to speak.
Not only will you get to mow down zombie strippers with your buddy Jake, between level changes Jake and Dean will chat and the player will learn more about what’s happening, and glean more information about their background. You definitely don’t want to skip the dialogue although it’s not critical to the gameplay.
Initially releasing as a single player game, co-op multiplayer is already in testing and expected to release in a patch update within the first week after launch. When asked why, Reggie replied that he wanted to get the game into player’s hands and that he was anxious to see how the community reacts to his latest project.
In addition to releasing on XBLIG, Zombie Strippers Stole My Heart Then Ate My Brains is also coming to PC! Reggie told us that he plans to release on Desura and eventually transition to Steam Greenlight. If the game sells well, he’ll throw in upgraded higher-resolution texture models for the zombie strippers.
We all know how hard it is to find high quality strippers these days. Am I right?
It’s important to keep in mind that the review process at Microsoft can be fickle and so, while a Thursday release is expected, it is also possible that there may be a slight delay. There’s also the possibility that Reggie might decide to throw a few more zombie strippers in there at the last minute, but release of the game is imminent.
Stay tuned as we bring you the latest info on Zombie Strippers Stole My Heart Then Ate My Brains as it develops.
